Forschung
Indem wir auf Theorien und Methoden aus Psychologie, Wirtschaft und verwandten Disziplinen zurückgreifen, wollen wir besser verstehen, wie Menschen Urteile und Entscheidungen in sozialen Interaktionen treffen.
Wir wollen zur Lösung gesellschaftlicher Probleme und Herausforderungen beitragen. Dazu gehören Grundlagenforschung zu sozialen Interaktionen (insbesondere menschliche Kooperation und Prosozialität), aber auch angewandte Forschung in spezifischen Kontexten. Wir wenden eine breite Palette von Methoden an, darunter (Online-, Labor- und Feld-)Experimente, Umfragestudien und computergestützte Modellierung. Einige unserer Hauptforschungsgebiete sind die folgenden:
- Gruppenkonflikte und Gewalt
- Gesundheitsentscheidungen, wie die Impfstoffaufnahme und den Einsatz von Antibiotika
- Umwelt- und Klimaschutz
- Mensch-Computer-Interaktion und Mensch-Mensch-Interaktion in digitalen Umgebungen
- Reaktionen auf und Interaktionen mit Institutionen und Politiken, etwa im Kontext von Steuerregulierungen oder Gesundheitspolitik
